Distinctive Livery For BbKRT At Misano
In celebration of racing at the round closest to their Rimini production facility, the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team (BbKRT) have adopted a special red, white and green ‘tricolore’ livery on their KB998 Rimini WorldSBK machines. The bikes - and the riders’ leathers - will appear in these special colours for their much anticipated “home race”.
The forthcoming Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’ round of the WorldSBK Championship is, as always, going to be a special one for bimota, given that the Italian manufacturer’s HQ in Rimini is a very short distance away from the popular Italian race facility.
In reality, the sixth round of the WorldSBK Championship at Misano (to be held between 13-15 June) will be very much the “home round” for bimota and BbKRT.
At Misano, the top fairing of the official KB998 Rimini machines features a distinctive area of green paintwork, to go with the existing white and red panels reflecting its country of origin. As well as the bimota machines featuring this patriotic image, the riders’ suits for this event also include a green element brought into their overall design.
This celebratory bike and rider colour schemes at Misano makes an even more striking impact for the already highly visible bimota WorldSBK project, which has already earned top five race finishes for regular riders Axel Bassani and Alex Lowes.
Pierluigi Marconi, COO of bimota, stated: “The progress of our WorldSBK racing project goes hand in hand with the continuous development of the bimota retail range, including the recently announced KB998 Rimini and Tera motorcycles. For existing and new bimota fans worldwide, we want to proudly display our Italian heritage at Misano, and what better way to reflect that than adopting the green of the Italian flag!”
