Alex Lowes had been a KRT WorldSBK rider since 2020 and since 2025 of the BbKRT; 2026 will be its seventh season along the Provec Racing staff. Having finished the 2019 WorldSBK season in third place overall – recording the best championship ranking of his career – and after a solid 2024 with a 4th overall – his best season with Kawasaki and 6th place in his year with bimota.
Joining the bimota by Kawasaki project in 2025, Alex had a strong first season: he consistently battled at the front of the field, achieving four podium finishes and ending the championship sixth overall, making the KB998 Rimini a regular fixture in the top five at every race in the last part of the season.
Thus, Alex Lowes enters 2026 with momentum and confidence. More than just results, Lowes played a pivotal role in refining the KB998 Rimini, providing the team with detailed feedback that helped the bike evolve rapidly over the season.
